Using energy transformation method, the characteristic map of the compressor of S1A-02 gas turbine is gained. And based on this work, the effects of wet compression on compressor’s steady-state performance are studied. Simulations show that pressure-ratio increased and surge line moved up-left relative to the original one when wet compression used with the assumption that during compression process the amount of energy transferred is a function of mass flow only, which means no matter wet compression is used or not, the amount of energy transferred is the same for any given mass flow. Experiment results show the same tendency as simulation results.
