Abstract

The quasi-static thermoelastic differential equations for a cylindrical body of finite height, subject to convective heat losses from all the three faces, have been solved analytically assuming that the film coefficients for the three faces are different. Expressions for displacements and stresses are obtained in the dimensionless form and curves showing dimensionless displacements and stresses are presented.
